  • Leading a team of talented and dedicated payroll professionals, I was responsible for the payroll function for a $600 million annual payroll, paying over 10,000 U.S. employees across 14 states for over 100 dealerships

  • Payroll Consolidation - with extensive travel involved

    • ​Group 1 - Consolidated four separate payroll systems into one system

      • Reynolds & Reynolds, ADP Dealer Services, UCS, and ADP PCPW initially to ADP PCPW and then to ADP Enterprise​

      • Consolidated from 15 payroll offices to one centralized Houston office

        • Created central payroll office, hiring and training 26 payroll staff (down from 45 field payroll) 

    • ENGIE - Consolidated three separate payroll offices centralizing to one Houston office

      • Hired and trained payroll team and consolidated two payroll offices from Washington (Workday) and California (Paylocity) to Houston  (ADP Vantage)

  • Acquisitions

    • During my tenure with Group 1 Automotive, I was the HRIS/Payroll team leader for over 90 acquisitions​ 

      • While this was an evolutionary process, we ultimately achieved the point where on "day one" of the close, the system was set-up, employee data was tested and all new employees were set up and able to be paid through Group 1's ADP Enterprise V5 system​

      • Worked with the other HR acquisition team members to make sure the benefit deduction interfaces were set up and a current active census was provided to the benefits' vendors

    • Working with Univar Solutions as a consultant, assisted with the transition of the acquisition of a bi-weekly payroll group being sold from an odd cycle to an even cycle for final 2019 payroll​

      • Worked on the acquisition group to update Vantage tables, special calculations, deductions, and employee fields that did not pass from legacy ADP by doing comparison analysis between the two systems​

    • Working with Duly Health and Care as a consultant, I was the ADP Vantage Client Project Team Lead working with ADP Project Services for a 2,000 employee acquisition going live on 1/1/22 to ADP Vantage.  ​

      • I created and maintained the Duly Project Workbook and conducted weekly internal meetings to make sure all were aware of issues and action items to try to stay on top of the items for a smooth transition.

      • Since acquisitions were new to Duly, we had post-mortem meetings, and I wrote an 'Acquisition-Integration Playbook' based on these meetings and my previous experience to use as a guide for future acquisitions.

  • HRIS/Special Projects

    • Multiple ADP Systems Administrator - PCPW, Enterprise V4/V5, Vantage, Workforce Now​,           E-Time

    • Client Implementation Project Manager for ADP PCPW, Enterprise, Vantage

    • Lead Ad-Hoc Report Writer in ADP Reportsmith and ADP-Reporting

    • Standardized earnings/deduction codes, pay frequencies, job codes, job titles, etc. for consistency in reporting and acquisitions

    • Collaborated with Benefits Team and Provider to set up vendor interfaces and open enrollment changes each year

    • Collaborated with internal accounting to set up General Ledger to pass from ADP to various accounting systems

    • Updated required fields to file EEO-1 reports for multiple employers/clients 

    • Implementing the ADP Workforce Now Paid Time Off module to automate the accrual and taking of paid time off

  • Payroll

    • Multi-State, Union, Non-Union, Taxes, ​Quarterly/Annual Tax Reporting, ADP Smart Compliance, SOX reporting, Internal/External Audits

    • While working with Duly Health and Care, I worked on Smart Compliance tax issues for 61 outstanding issues with the acquisition group's taxes to get these federal/state tax identification numbers and tax rates set up correctly for ten (10) new pay groups.

    • While working with Duly Health and Care, since they had moved on to Workday for the bulk of the company, I processed payrolls in ADP Vantage for one of the acquisiton groups from March - April until they transitioned to Workday.

    • While working with Navy Installation Command, I processed payrolls in ADP Vantage for one-quarter of their pay groups on a weekly basis.
